Business and Community Links

The BDMA (British Damage Management Association) is the certifying authority for recovery and restoration technicians, enabling damage management practitioners to gain professional qualifications and accreditation by examination. The Association promotes minimum standards and the use of competent professionals at all times. Both the Association of British Insurers (ABI) and the Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters (CILA) have seats on the BDMA Executive in an advisory capacity and the BDMA is represented on a number of high profile committees and research projects. 

BEAMA Anti-Counterfeiting Working Group –
The “Counterfeit Kills” website is a joint initiative of the BEAMA Anti-Counterfeiting Working Group and Voltimum, the UK Electrical Industry Portal, to raise awareness of the risks associated with the trade in counterfeit goods and to provide information about the actions being taken to combat this trade.

BSI Product Services is the testing and certification arm of the world renowned British Standards Institution. The prestigious Kitemark is available exclusively from BSI and can cover electrical contractors for domestic (Part P), commercial or industrial work as well as emergency lighting and fire alarm installations.

Certsure - 
Born out of a partnership between Electrical Safety First and the Electrical Contractors' Association (ECA), Certsure provides professional services and certification to a wide range of customers across the building services sector and offers industry-leading certification services, Building Regulations schemes, products and support to the construction industry and beyond.

Chartered Institute of Environmental Health -
A professional, awarding and campaigning body at the forefront of environmental and public health and safety. 

The Electrical Contractors' Association (ECA) is a UK trade association representing electrical, electronic, installation engineering and building services companies. 

For over 100 years the EEIBA have helped and supported people who have either worked or are working within the Electrical & Electronics Industries who through no fault of their own have fallen on difficult times. We are very proud that Electrical Safety First in conjunction with the NICEIC, support the work of the EEIBA and through this new website hyperlink portal it is hoped that more people will be made aware of the work and help that can be obtained from both the EEIBA and Electrical Safety First.  

Energy Networks Association –
Energy Networks Association (ENA) produces a range of leaflets warning the public of the dangers of electricity. These can be viewed on their website.

Fisuel –
Fisuel – International Federation for the Safety of Electricity Users. Association in the framework of the French 1901 law, founded February 2002.

Institution of Engineering and Technology –
The Institution of Engineering and Technology plays a key role in the electrical installation industry in terms of standards and safety, and is best known for its independent and trusted voice as publisher of the IET Wiring Regulations. The IET also publishes electrical and electronic engineering research including books, print and online journals, magazines and the Inspec Database. 

NAPIT Registration Services –
NAPIT is an organisation committed to consumer safety. Their aim is to ensure that through the competence of their Members, homeowners can be assured that any electrical work in their home complies with the relevant regulations. NAPIT Members sign up to a consumer code of practice that complies with the Government's award winning TrustMark scheme. 

National Quality Assurance –
One of the UK's largest and longest established certification bodies, NQA provides certification and assessment services and related training to a wide range of manufacturing, commercial and service sectors. Assessors have in-depth knowledge and experience of all the environments in which they work; NQA is heavily regulated to provide complete assurance in the quality of their service and expertise, and currently hold accreditations by UKAS and RAB – the respective national accreditation bodies of the UK and the USA. 

NICEIC is one of the government approved Part P competent persons schemes for electrical installers. It provides a range of professional personnel, product and management systems certification services. The range of services includes assessment, audit, inspection and verification activities across three core product lines which are each supported by training and technical assistance through publications, events and technical helpline.

Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors –
RICS is the leading source of land, property, construction and related environmental knowledge. They support 120,000 members worldwide, promote best practice, represent consumers' interests and provide impartial advice to society, businesses, governments and global organisations. 

SELECT is the trade association for the electrotechnical industry in Scotland. For 107 years they have served their Members, the public and Scotland’s industrial base by setting and maintaining industry standards. They have over 1,000 member companies carrying out work in the full range of disciplines. SELECT is a Scottish Qualifications Authority Approved Centre and a LearnDirect Scotland Learning Centre.
